Thanks for your interest in the Community page. The vision for this page is to provide a platform for landholders, land managers, and researchers to share ideas, questions, and concerns about the management of natural resources on their properties. This can be a place for covenanted landholders to connect and create dialogue with other each other, and connect with others who have additional insights about Australian biodiversity and land management practices.
This page, and the website overall, may evolve over time into different formats that are of most use to landholders and managers of covenanted properties. Its growth will depend on the participation of the readers. Your thoughts and suggestions are key, and will indicate to us the value of this platform and whether it does indeed fill a need that was highlighted during the landholder interviews.
The blog posts will capture topics or themes of interest that we see in people’s responses along with broader topics related to private protected areas. The more you respond, the more we’ll have to talk about!
So, to get us started, reply to this post with some thoughts or questions you have about managing the natural resources on your property, or about covenanting in general. Your replies can become the foundations for future posts. If preferred, you can send comments privately through the Contact page.
Many landholders have taken fantastic photographs of plants, animals, and landscapes on their covenanted properties. This space is for showcasing that biodiversity and your photography talent. Send a note in the Contact page if you have some images you’d like to share.
